Doug serves as Evert Tennis Academy’s General Business Manager and oversees all business and off-court operations.  His specific duties include academy financial statements, all business operations, office and intern staff, facility construction and maintenance, student services staff, human resource and staffing issues, and new business development. 

Before ETA, Doug worked at IMG in Cleveland where he met John Evert. At IMG he was a Financial Account Executive, and handled all financial affairs for professional athletes, primarily tennis players. Over the course of his career with IMG, Doug managed the finances for 35 tennis players as well as several professional baseball players, figure skaters, and corporate executives.  For each professional athlete, Doug oversaw tax planning, cash flow, insurance, investments, estate planning, and general financial planning.  

In 1983, Doug earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Georgia, and continued his education at UGA with a Master’s of Science in Business Administration.  Doug is originally from Atlanta, Georgia and has one brother and one sister.
